ALGIERS-The Ambassador of the Republic of Guinea to Algeria, Alhassane Barry said, on Monday, that he solicited the support of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, for a \u201csuccessful and peaceful\u201d transition in this country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI requested from the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to support a successful and peaceful transition in the Republic of Guinea\u201d, the ambassador told the press after his meeting with the President of the Republic.<\/p>\n
Calling Algerian diplomacy \u201ceffective and very influential\u201d, the Guinean official explained that he requested the support of President Tebboune as the architect of this diplomacy.<\/p>\n
The Guinean ambassador, who paid President Tebboune a farewell visit at the end of his mission in Algeria, said that his meeting with President Tebboune was an opportunity to \u201cdiscuss bilateral and cooperation ties\u201d uniting the two countries, stressing that particular emphasis was placed on \u201cthe promotion of economic diplomacy.\u201d<\/p>\n
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss \u201cthe partnerships between Guinea\u2019s oil company and the Algerian company Sonatrach, and between the private sector of the two countries\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cPresident Tebboune gave guidelines so that efforts to revitalize this relationship of friendship and cooperation be further strengthened,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe also focused on cooperation in the education sector, in particular, \u201cthe scholarships offered by the Algerian State to Guinean students\u201d, said the diplomat.<\/p>\n
