Syed Shayaan Bakht,\u00a0Gulf Today<\/em><\/p>\n Algerian youth have gone viral on social media for their traditional music performance to promote their beautiful culture.<\/p>\n A performance by a trio known as Jbaliqs, with the lead Wassim Benyoucef Bendali, his cousins Nouceiba (percussionist, tabla) and Chafik (violinist) is doing the rounds on the internet.<\/p>\n They mostly put up a performance from their living room in Algiers.<\/p>\n Jbaliqs wrote on Instagram, \u201cFor our Identity and culture. Algerianism \ud83d\udd4a\ud83c\udde9\ud83c\uddff<\/p>\n \u201cIt’s about to reintroduce our beautiful culture! Our identity, Our Algerianity!<\/p>\n You may have seen that playing Carmen aka K\u0101r\u00eem\u0101 is not a difficult thing! Here is our heritage!\u201d<\/p>\n Wassim, who studied sociolinguistics, and Nouceiba, a high school student, want to introduce young people to traditional Algerian music.<\/p>\n
