Algeria intends to submit to Unesco 11 files concerning Algerian musical genres with a view to their classification as universal heritage.<\/p>\n

The director of the National Center for Prehistoric, Anthropological and Historical Research (CNRPAH), Slimane Hachi announced it on Wednesday in Tlemcen.<\/p>\n

These files concern the female songs “Sraoui” and “Acewiq” from the Kabylie region, “Ayay” from the wilayas of Laghouat and Biskra, the Ch\u00e2abi El Assimi, El Malouf, El Hawzi, El Haoufi and other musical genres, a underlined Mr. Hachi.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
