Algerians can now try traditional European-style cheeses produced in their own country. An artisan cheese-maker, Rachid Ibersiene, set up the business after being inspired by Swiss cheese makers, and is now celebrating that he took the leap.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ibersiene came back to his native region to open up the small business after spending 16 years in Switzerland.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
His shop, which produces 80kg of cheese a day, is popular among embassies, companies and other loyal customers.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n

\n
\n
\n
\n

But he says: ‘Demand is always in a crescendo, rising sharply. We can\u2019t satisfy all our clients because our work is based on the good quality of the milk. The problem is that we have only between 700 and 1,000 litres per day which makes 80 kilograms of cheese per day and our clients take them’<\/div>\n

‘I decided to come back to Algeria because of its potential. We are working a lot with camel milk with internationally renowned researchers to examine the possibility of transmitting immunity from camel milk to nutrition’<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div>\n
