The goal, as the Economy Minister underlined, is “to encourage the creation of new businesses up to four to eight per year for every thousand inhabitants”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Women, in\u00a0Algeria<\/strong>, occupy an increasingly important position in the entrepreneurial sector and account for almost half of the owners of\u00a0startup<\/strong>. This was stated by the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Yacine Mehdi Oualid.<\/p>\n

According to Oualid, the data illustrates the emergence of new opportunities also from the point of view of gender equality, in a sector, such as that of startups,\u00a0in full development.<\/strong>\u00a0The minister also underlined the significant role of Alg\u00e9rie Venture, a state body linked to the Ministry of Economy, set up to promote entrepreneurial culture and to raise public awareness of its importance for the country.<\/p>\n

The goal, therefore, is to encourage the creation of new businesses, until reaching the goal of four to eight startups per year for every 1.000 inhabitants. \u201cWe aspire not only to increase the number of graduate entrepreneurs, but also to have more competent entrepreneurs<\/strong>\u201d, explained Oualid, \u201cwe want to encourage graduates to launch themselves into entrepreneurship\u201d. “We aspire not only to increase the number of graduate entrepreneurs, but also to have more competent entrepreneurs”, Oualid specified, “we want to encourage graduates to launch themselves into entrepreneurship”.
