Ce film, une co-production alg\u00e9ro-canadienne, a d\u00e9but\u00e9 son tournage \u00e0 Alger en 2022 et a r\u00e9cemment remport\u00e9 le grand prix du festival international de cin\u00e9ma du Rhode Island (\u00c9tats-Unis), o\u00f9 il a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en avant-premi\u00e8re mondiale.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Financ\u00e9 par le minist\u00e8re de la Culture et des Arts, \u00ab\u00a0196 m\u00e8tres\/Algiers\u00a0\u00bb est le premier long-m\u00e9trage de Taleb-Bendiab. L\u2019intrigue se concentre sur l\u2019enl\u00e8vement d\u2019une jeune fille et met en vedette plusieurs acteurs, dont Hichem Mesbah, Meriem Medjkane, Ali Namousse et Nabil Asli.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9 en 1982, Chakib Taleb-Bendiab a pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plusieurs courts-m\u00e9trages, tels que le documentaire \u00ab\u00a0Averro\u00e8s, un lien civilisationnel\u00a0\u00bb (2011), \u00ab\u00a0Sang froid\u00a0\u00bb (2013) et \u00ab\u00a0Black spirit\u00a0\u00bb (2018), qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9s dans divers festivals en Alg\u00e9rie et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger.<\/p>\n<p>La liste des films internationaux retenus pour cette cat\u00e9gorie sera d\u00e9voil\u00e9e le 17 d\u00e9cembre prochain, suivie d\u2019une liste d\u00e9finitive de cinq films le 17 janvier 2025, qui concourront pour le prix.
