Jour apr\u00e8s jour, une logique se construit dans son esprit : le monde est stable. Pr\u00e9visible. Bienveillant.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Chaque journ\u00e9e confirme cette croyance.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Puis arrive l\u2019A\u00efd. Et en quelques secondes, tout s\u2019effondre. Le mouton est sacrifi\u00e9. La veille encore, sa confiance dans le monde \u00e9tait totale. Le lendemain, elle valait z\u00e9ro.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Ce qui semblait \u00eatre une protection absolue r\u00e9v\u00e8le une autre r\u00e9alit\u00e9 : cette stabilit\u00e9 parfaite cachait un risque que le mouton ne pouvait ni voir, ni comprendre.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Le probl\u00e8me n\u2019\u00e9tait pas le confort. Le probl\u00e8me \u00e9tait la d\u00e9pendance totale \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me centralis\u00e9, opaque et incompris.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Cette histoire d\u00e9passe largement le mouton.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Elle ressemble parfois \u00e0 notre propre vision moderne du \u201cd\u00e9veloppement\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Nous avons progressivement associ\u00e9 la r\u00e9ussite \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019un monde parfaitement contr\u00f4l\u00e9 :<\/div>\n
des villes sans friction,<\/div>\n
des syst\u00e8mes sans lenteur,<\/div>\n
des cha\u00eenes logistiques tendues au maximum,<\/div>\n
des r\u00e9seaux hyperconnect\u00e9s,<\/div>\n
des \u00e9conomies ultra-sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es,<\/div>\n
des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s o\u00f9 l\u2019impr\u00e9vu devient presque une anomalie.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Comme si le progr\u00e8s consistait \u00e0 \u00e9liminer toute forme de d\u00e9sordre.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Pourtant, c\u2019est parfois pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment l\u00e0 que na\u00eet la fragilit\u00e9.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Car un syst\u00e8me trop optimis\u00e9 devient souvent incapable d\u2019absorber les chocs.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Quand tout d\u00e9pend :<\/div>\n
d\u2019un seul r\u00e9seau,<\/div>\n
d\u2019une seule source d\u2019\u00e9nergie,<\/div>\n
d\u2019un seul fournisseur,<\/div>\n
d\u2019une seule infrastructure,<\/div>\n
d\u2019une seule stabilit\u00e9 g\u00e9opolitique,<\/div>\n
alors le moindre incident peut produire des cons\u00e9quences disproportionn\u00e9es.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Plus un syst\u00e8me est tendu vers l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 absolue, plus il peut devenir vuln\u00e9rable \u00e0 l\u2019impr\u00e9visible.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Le paradoxe est donc profond : ce qui para\u00eet le plus \u201cavanc\u00e9\u201d est parfois aussi ce qui poss\u00e8de le moins de marge de survie.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

De la redondance.<\/div>\n
Des marges informelles.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Tout ce qui para\u00eet inefficace vu de loin devient parfois vital lorsque survient une crise.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Un peu de chaos n\u2019est pas forc\u00e9ment le signe d\u2019un sous-d\u00e9veloppement.<\/div>\n
Parfois, c\u2019est le signe qu\u2019un syst\u00e8me est encore vivant.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

La nature fonctionne elle-m\u00eame sur cette logique.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

qui r\u00e9v\u00e8le brutalement la fragilit\u00e9 cach\u00e9e d\u2019un syst\u00e8me con\u00e7u pour un monde sans surprise.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Peut-\u00eatre que la r\u00e9silience ne consiste donc pas \u00e0 supprimer toute instabilit\u00e9, mais \u00e0 apprendre \u00e0 vivre avec une certaine dose d\u2019incertitude.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

L’exemple d je\u00fbne nous enseigne d\u00e9j\u00e0 quelque chose de cette logique: Accepter le manque, Supporter l\u2019inconfort, Ralentir, R\u00e9duire la d\u00e9pendance au confort permanent.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Comme si certaines pratiques spirituelles cherchaient aussi \u00e0 emp\u00eacher l\u2019\u00eatre humain de devenir fragile derri\u00e8re son abondance.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Alors peut-\u00eatre que cette ann\u00e9e,<\/div>\n
au-del\u00e0 des souhaits habituels,<\/div>\n
nous pouvons nous souhaiter autre chose qu\u2019une simple stabilit\u00e9.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s capables d\u2019absorber les chocs.<\/div>\n
Des communaut\u00e9s adaptables.<\/div>\n
Une force int\u00e9rieure face aux crises.<\/div>\n
Et surtout la lucidit\u00e9 de comprendre qu\u2019un syst\u00e8me parfaitement lisse cache parfois ses propres catastrophes.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Car le plus grand danger serait peut-\u00eatre de devenir, nous aussi, le mouton de l’eid d\u2019un d\u00e9veloppement rapide, spectaculaire et rassurant en apparence\u2026 sans voir les d\u00e9pendances invisibles qu\u2019il construit autour de nous. Un d\u00e9veloppement qui promet parfois l\u2019abondance imm\u00e9diate, la modernit\u00e9 instantan\u00e9e, la consommation sans limite, mais qui peut aussi produire des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s incapables de survivre sans des syst\u00e8mes qu\u2019elles ne contr\u00f4lent plus.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\n
Toutes les croissances rapides ne sont pas forc\u00e9ment des forces.<\/div>\n
Certaines ne font qu\u2019engraisser une fragilit\u00e9 future.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Cette r\u00e9flexion s\u2019inspire notamment du concept d\u2019\u201cantifragilit\u00e9\u201d d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par Nassim Nicholas Taleb dans Antifragile, ainsi que de son id\u00e9e du \u201ccygne noir\u201d : ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements rares et impr\u00e9visibles qui r\u00e9v\u00e8lent soudainement la fragilit\u00e9 cach\u00e9e des syst\u00e8mes que l\u2019on croyait parfaitement stables.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

L\u2019antifragile n\u2019est pas le contraire du fragile. Le contraire du fragile, c\u2019est le robuste. Le robuste r\u00e9siste aux chocs. L\u2019antifragile, lui, devient plus fort gr\u00e2ce aux chocs. Un muscle en est un bon exemple : sans effort, il s\u2019affaiblit ; avec des micro-stress, il se renforce. C\u2019est pour cela qu\u2019un syst\u00e8me \u201cparfait\u201d, sans friction ni impr\u00e9vu, peut devenir tr\u00e8s fragile : il ne s\u2019adapte plus.<\/p>\n
