Cette \u0153uvre artistique pr\u00e9historique aurait pu s\u2019appeler : \u00abMaman \u00e9l\u00e9phante prot\u00e9geant son petit d\u2019une panth\u00e8re.\u00bb En 1986, l\u2019Unicef l\u2019avait choisie comme symbole de la protection de l\u2019enfance.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Selon l\u2019\u00e9crivain et po\u00e8te Lazhari Labter, originaire de Laghouat, \u00abcette c\u00e9l\u00e8bre et magnifique gravure rupestre repr\u00e9sentant une \u00e9l\u00e9phante prot\u00e9geant son \u00e9l\u00e9phanteau menac\u00e9 par une panth\u00e8re, devenue mondialement c\u00e9l\u00e8bre apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 choisie par l\u2019Unicef en 1986 comme symbole de la protection de l\u2019enfance, se trouve dans la station de A\u00efn Sfissifa, \u00e0 une trentaine de kilom\u00e8tres d\u2019Aflou, \u00e0 l\u2019ouest de Laghouat, dans la commune d\u2019El Ghicha. Labter pr\u00e9cise qu\u2019elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couverte en 1898 par le capitaine Maumen\u00e9. Ginette Aumassip la\u00a0 consid\u00e8re comme \u00abl&#8217;un des chefs-d&#8217;\u0153uvre de l&#8217;art naturaliste monumental\u00bb.
