Un terme emprunt\u00e9 du \u00ab\u00a0Ouichah\u00a0\u00bb, autrement dit la ceinture enrichie de pierreries ou alors de \u00ab\u00a0Ouch\u2019h\u00a0\u00bb, c\u2019est \u00e0 dire tout ce qui ceint tels que collier, cordon, bandouli\u00e8re, \u00e9charpe ou ruban\u2026 Le Mouwachah au singulier, Mouwachahate au pluriel, est donc tout ce qui est orn\u00e9, enjoliv\u00e9.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\"><strong>Par M.C.BELAMINE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Le Mouwachah, autrement dit cette po\u00e9sie enjoliv\u00e9e, ne respectera plus les structures classiques de la Qacida, \u00e0 base de po\u00e9sie monorimique \u00e0 m\u00e8tre unique. Rimes (qafiya) et m\u00e8tres (bahr) alterneront et supplanteront d\u00e9finitivement la Qacida au douzi\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Les plus grands noms de la po\u00e9sie andalouse succ\u00e9deront alors \u00e0 Ibn Mou\u2019affa El Qabri dont Ibn Baqi (mort en 1145), ou alors le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre philosophe, m\u00e9decin, astronome et musicien Ibn Badja (l\u2019Avempace des latins, mort en 1139) et autres El A\u2019ama Ettoutili (l\u2019aveugle de Tol\u00e8de, mort en 1126).<span id=\"more-21635\" tabindex=\"-1\"><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Le Mouwachah est introduit au Maghreb, d\u2019abord \u00e0 F\u00e8s, par l\u2019andalou Ibn \u2018Oumayr, auteur de nombreux po\u00e8mes Mouwachah, pour ensuite \u00eatre transmis \u00e0 Tlemcen\u00a0 par Ali Ibn El Mouadhan avant de se r\u00e9pandre progressivement dans la r\u00e9gion et toutes les villes du Maghreb.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-21752\" src=\"https:\/\/frontieresblog.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/madrassa-bou-inania.jpg?w=474\" alt=\"Madrassa Bou Inania\" width=\"806\" height=\"537\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">La structure musicale classique, dite arabo-andalouse, se compose sur le plan po\u00e9tique du\u00a0<em>Mouwachah<\/em>\u00a0(le genre enjoliv\u00e9) et du\u00a0<em>Zadjel<\/em>\u00a0(le genre lyrique) dont la po\u00e9sie est d\u2019expression dialectale andalouse. Si sur le plan technique le Mouwachah et le Zadjel sont quasiment semblable, ils se d\u00e9marquent du fait que le premier a conserv\u00e9 l\u2019arabe classique comme mode d\u2019expression, tandis que le Zadjel s\u2019est popularis\u00e9; peut-\u00eatre \u00e9tait-il destin\u00e9 aux populations ext\u00e9rieures aux cours royales et de condition et de culture plus modestes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Les th\u00e8mes de la po\u00e9sie arabo-andalouse sont ceux d\u2019une culture citadine raffin\u00e9e, \u00e0 l\u2019image de la vie en Andalousie. Ils s\u2019inspirent \u00e9galement tr\u00e8s souvent de la philosophie soufie, notamment lorsqu\u2019il est question d\u2019ivresse de l\u2019amour divin. Mais la po\u00e9sie chant\u00e9e traite aussi bien de la nature et de l\u2019amour courtois, que de l\u2019exil et de la nostalgie. Cette po\u00e9sie courtoise qui a justement influenc\u00e9 toute la po\u00e9sie des troubadours de l\u2019\u00e9poque m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, puis toute la litt\u00e9rature europ\u00e9enne, \u00e0 nos jours<a style=\"color: #003366\" href=\"https:\/\/frontieresblog.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/24\/la-brise-andalouse-souffle-au-maghreb\/#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Sur le plan m\u00e9lodique, cette musique se pr\u00e9sente sous forme de chapitres ind\u00e9pendants les uns des autres. Elle est scind\u00e9e en noubas. Un terme qui, en arabe, renvoie \u00e0 l\u2019id\u00e9e d\u2019alternance, comme les heures de la journ\u00e9e qui alternent les unes apr\u00e8s les autres, dans un cycle renouvel\u00e9. \u00ab\u00a0<em>Naouaba\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb signifie justement alterna. Vingt quatre noubas composaient, dit-on, le r\u00e9pertoire entier. L\u2019\u00e9cole alg\u00e9rienne n\u2019en a conserv\u00e9 que quinze dont douze dans leur int\u00e9gralit\u00e9.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">La Nouba est une forme musicale savante qui est constitu\u00e9e d\u2019une suite de pi\u00e8ces vocales et instrumentales dont le rythme commence par un temps lent, le \u00ab\u00a0<em>M\u2019saddar\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em>\u00a0pour s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer progressivement jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la pi\u00e8ce finale,\u00a0<em>le \u00ab\u00a0Khlass\u00a0\u00bb<\/em>, qui se termine sur un air l\u00e9ger et dansant, ensorcelant l\u2019auditoire en un rythme qui le p\u00e9n\u00e8tre dans une atmosph\u00e8re festive.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">La suite alg\u00e9rienne<a style=\"color: #003366\" href=\"https:\/\/frontieresblog.wordpress.com\/2020\/08\/24\/la-brise-andalouse-souffle-au-maghreb\/#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>\u00a0comprend la Touchia, introduction instrumentale, une pi\u00e8ce ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e en pr\u00e9lude suivie du M\u2019saddar, un mouvement lent et majestueux puis du \u00ab\u00a0<em>B\u2019ta\u00efhi<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb, un rythme moins lent que le M\u2019saddar. Vient ensuite l\u2019Istikhbar, improvisation vocale et instrumentale \u00e0 rythme non mesur\u00e9 puis le \u00ab\u00a0<em>Dardj\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb, un mouvement aussi lent que le M\u2019saddar et au rythme plus l\u00e9ger que le B\u2019ta\u00efhi. Viennent ensuite \u00ab\u00a0<em>l\u2019Inciraf\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb, un rythme l\u00e9g\u00e8rement boiteux accompagn\u00e9 de Khlass (ou Mokhloss) au tempo vif. La khardja ou \u00ab\u00a0<em>sortie finale<\/em>\u00a0\u00bb est ex\u00e9cut\u00e9e \u00e0 un rythme vif et dansant. L\u2019Inqlab est un autre mouvement qui peut parfois remplacer la Touchia en ouverture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-21754 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/frontieresblog.files.wordpress.com\/2019\/09\/orchestre-de-malouf-en-reprc3a9sentation-c3a0-constantine.png?w=287&amp;h=138\" alt=\"Orchestre de Malouf en repr\u00e9sentation \u00e0 Constantine\" width=\"547\" height=\"262\" \/>A Constantine, les musiciens emploient\u00a0 pour le M\u2019saddar un rythme qui leur est propre qu\u2019ils appellent le Mourabba\u2019a. La suite alg\u00e9rienne n\u2019a, en r\u00e9alit\u00e9, pas plus de trois rythmes malgr\u00e9 la multiplicit\u00e9 du nom de ses \u00e9l\u00e9ments. Et jusqu\u2019en 1963 les musiciens alg\u00e9riens croyaient qu\u2019il ne restait que sept noubas (Djaharak ou Djarka, Raml Maya, A\u2019araq, Zidane, Sika, Mezmoum et Mawwal).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\"> Ce n\u2019est que lors du\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"color: #003366\">colloque sur la musique andalouse, organis\u00e9 \u00e0 Carthage cette ann\u00e9e-l\u00e0, que les quinze modes alg\u00e9riens ont pu \u00eatre d\u00e9finis avec pr\u00e9cision et les morceaux r\u00e9partis entre les diff\u00e9rents modes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Cette musique, dans son \u00e2ge d\u2019or, \u00e9tait compos\u00e9e de vingt quatre modes diff\u00e9rents pour les vingt quatre noubas qui correspondent aux vingt quatre heures de la journ\u00e9e; une nouba par mode et par heure. Chaque nouba se jouait \u00e0 une heure tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cise de la journ\u00e9e. La Nouba \u00ab\u00a0<em>Dil\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb occupant la premi\u00e8re place dans l\u2019ordre chronologique des vingt quatre noubas. Elle se jouait traditionnellement \u00e0 trois heures du matin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Quant aux modes, ce sont les gammes dans lesquelles sont \u00e9crites toutes les pi\u00e8ces (ou mouvements) appartenant \u00e0 une m\u00eame nouba. La Nouba est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019unit\u00e9 de mode. Le mode est ainsi la fa\u00e7on de disposer les intervalles \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur d\u2019une gamme. Cette disposition lui donne un caract\u00e8re immuable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Il existe sept modes fondamentaux pour l\u2019ensemble des noubas et qui sont les modes Djarka, Zidane, Sika, Mawwal, Raml Maya, A\u2019araq et Mezmoum. La musique arabo-andalouse, \u00e0 proprement parler, fait partie de la famille des musiques modales, tels les modes anciens, et peut se comparer \u00e0 la musique grecque ancienne. Elle ignore par ailleurs totalement la polyphonie.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Toutes les notes du \u00ab\u00a0<em>do\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb au \u00ab\u00a0<em>la\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb peuvent ainsi \u00eatre le point de d\u00e9part d\u2019un mode. Seul le mode de \u00ab\u00a0<em>si\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb n\u2019existe pas. Les modes ne contiennent aucune alt\u00e9ration, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire ni b\u00e9mols ni di\u00e8ses, mais cinq tons et deux demi-tons qui sont plac\u00e9s entre des degr\u00e9s diff\u00e9rents, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire entre deux notes. Le mode de \u00ab\u00a0<em>do\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb est devenu le mod\u00e8le des gammes majeures tel que le \u00ab\u00a0<em>Mawwal\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb qui est un des modes fondamentaux. Le mode de Dil va du do grave au do aigu (dans l\u2019octave), le mode Mezmoum, lui, va du fa au fa dans l\u2019octave (c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire dans l\u2019aigu), le mode Sika (qui est celui du flamenco et du fado) part du mi pour aboutir au mi dans l\u2019octave.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Cette musique non \u00e9crite pour des raisons inconnus et qui, aujourd\u2019hui, suscite une grande controverse entre puristes, attach\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019esprit traditionnel, et modernistes, soucieux de ne pas la voir dispara\u00eetre, aurait pu ne plus exister ou presque sans l\u2019abn\u00e9gation d\u2019un chercheur maghr\u00e9bin du 18\u00e8me si\u00e8cle. Mohamed El Ha\u00efk de T\u00e9touan a en effet r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 faire l\u2019inventaire d\u00e9taill\u00e9 des 721 po\u00e8mes du corpus qu\u2019il classa en 11 noubas. Les trois noubas incompl\u00e8tes dont il ne reste que l\u2019Inciraf et le Khlass sont les noubas Djarka, A\u2019araq et (Mawwal ?).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366\">Le temps a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0<em>l\u2019ennemi\u00a0<\/em>\u00bb de cette musique. La moiti\u00e9 de son patrimoine est irr\u00e9m\u00e9diablement perdu pour notre malheur. Alors, il en faut des Ma\u00eetres et des chercheurs pour reconstituer l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019oeuvre. Car l\u2019Arabo-andalou est l\u2019expression de la beaut\u00e9 dans toute sa splendeur.
