Mise au service de l\u2019entraide face aux violences sexistes et sexuels, The Sorority est une application d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e en France en septembre 2020. Depuis, elle a connu une expansion en Belgique, au Canada, au Maroc et depuis peu en Alg\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n

L\u2019application fonctionne gr\u00e2ce aux donn\u00e9es des utilisatrices qui permettent de les g\u00e9olocaliser en temps r\u00e9el. Si l\u2019une d\u2019entre elles se sent en danger, elle peut appuyer sur un bouton d\u2019alerte. Les 50 femmes \u00e0 proximit\u00e9 actives sur l\u2019application re\u00e7oivent alors une notification. Elles peuvent alors appeler la victime, discuter avec elle par chat, la g\u00e9olocaliser, la rejoindre ou encore joindre les autorit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

The Sorority a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue comme un r\u00e9seau social r\u00e9serv\u00e9 aux femmes et toutes les personnes victimes de harc\u00e8lements. Une photo de la carte d\u2019identit\u00e9 avec un selfie sont demand\u00e9s en m\u00eame temps.<\/p>\n

Dans leurs profils, les utilisatrices peuvent indiquer leur m\u00e9tier et leurs hobbies. Mais aussi, si elles acceptent, d\u2019h\u00e9berger des femmes en danger ou victimes de violences.<\/p>\n

Bien qu\u2019elle admette qu\u2019une application seule ne sera pas suffisante pour r\u00e9gler le probl\u00e8me de l\u2019harc\u00e8lement de rue et l\u2019harc\u00e8lement sexuel, Priscillia Routier Trillar estime que\u00a0\u201cc\u2019est un outil rassurant\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n

D\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par Adrien Saulnier et Thibaud Dervily avec l\u2019aide de Fanny Chevalier, graphiste, The Sorority a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9e en septembre 2020 et comptabilise d\u00e9j\u00e0 plusieurs milliers d\u2019utilisatrices.<\/p>\n

The Sorority d\u00e9barque en Alg\u00e9rie \u00e0 l\u2019heure ou la FemTech locale manque cruellement au paysage des applications et ou le harc\u00e8lement de rue et les violences faites aux femmes se font de plus en plus fr\u00e9quents.<\/p>\n
