T\u00f4t le matin, sa famille l\u2019accompagne \u00e0 l\u2019a\u00e9roport international d\u2019Alger d\u2019o\u00f9 il prend le vol Alger-Marseille. \u00ab\u00a0Je suis tr\u00e8s excit\u00e9. J\u2019ai du mal \u00e0 avaler quoi que ce soit. Le jour que j\u2019attendais depuis deux ann\u00e9es est enfin arriv\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e9crit l\u2019auteur. M\u00e9content de sa condition sociale et l\u2019absence de perspectives dans son pays, sorti \u00e0 peine d\u2019une longue p\u00e9riode de colonisation et d\u2019une guerre meurtri\u00e8re,\u00a0 le jeune Karim pense \u00ab\u00a0apprendre plus en courant le monde et tenter ma chance ailleurs\u00a0\u00bb. Ayant pour bagage un sac \u00e0 dos et quelques sous en poche, Karim d\u00e9barque \u00e0 Marseille. La premi\u00e8re ville qu\u2019il a visit\u00e9e\u00a0 dans son long p\u00e9riple qui l\u2019a emmen\u00e9 sur aux quatre coins du monde. \u00a0Tenant un journal comme un commandant de bord, le jeune aventurier\u00a0 relate tous les \u00e9v\u00e9nements, les rencontres, les choses insolites qu\u2019il a v\u00e9cus sans \u00a0porter un jugement ou une appr\u00e9ciation personnels. Pour n\u2019omettre rien, il prend note tout au long de son voyage de peur que sa m\u00e9moire le trahisse. D\u2019ailleurs, \u00ab\u00a0Le tour du monde d\u2019un jeune Alg\u00e9rien\u00a0\u00bb est le produit final de ses p\u00e9r\u00e9grinations.\u00a0 Une sorte d\u2019autobiographie centr\u00e9e sur son tour du monde sans pour autant se mettre en \u00e9vidence.\u00a0 \u00a0Le texte n\u2019est pas seulement un guide touristique pour les curieux. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019un r\u00e9cit qui raconte le v\u00e9cu et la culture d\u2019une multitude de populations \u00a0\u00e0 travers le monde, au N\u00e9pal, en Iran, en Inde\u2026 Dans un style simple et pr\u00e9cis, l\u2019auteur d\u00e9crit la vie quotidienne de diff\u00e9rentes ethnies et leurs rituels et c\u00e9l\u00e9brations.<\/h5>\n<h5><strong>Retour au bercail<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>Durant son long voyage, l\u2019auteur ne cesse d\u2019exprimer son amour et sa gratitude \u00e0 sa famille.\u00a0 \u00ab\u00a0Ma m\u00e8re, symbole d\u2019amour et de patience\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e9crit-il dans sa d\u00e9dicace. Pendant les trois ans, trois mois et douze jours qu\u2019a dur\u00e9 son tour du monde, Karim avait toujours une pens\u00e9e pour sa famille et son pays notamment durant les f\u00eates nationales ou religieuses. \u00ab\u00a0Aujourd\u2019hui, c\u2019est\u00a0 l\u2019Aid El Fitr, la fin du ramadhan. Je l\u2019ai su en passant devant une mosqu\u00e9e\u00a0; les fid\u00e8les s\u2019embrassaient et les enfants \u00e9taient bien habill\u00e9s. Cela m\u2019 donn\u00e9 un coup de blues. Ma famille me manque et maman doit\u00a0 se sentir\u00a0 bien seule\u00a0\u00bb, \u00e9crit-il.\u00a0 Tour \u00e0 tour, Karim \u00e9voque son enfance difficile durant la colonisation et de rappeler les \u00e9v\u00e9nements qui correspondent \u00e0 des dates anniversaires qui ont marqu\u00e9 la p\u00e9riode coloniale et la R\u00e9volution alg\u00e9rienne. \u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Le 11 d\u00e9cembre 1969\u00a0: (\u2026) Ce jour-l\u00e0, en 1960, des milliers d\u2019Alg\u00e9riens, jeunes et vieux, femmes et enfants, sont sortis dans les rues pour manifester leur soutien au FLN\u00a0\u00bb, se souvient \u00a0l\u2019auteur.<\/h5>\n<h5>Dimanche 12 d\u00e9cembre 1972, l\u2019aventurier rentre au pays. Il prend un vol \u00e0 partir du Canada, fait escale \u00e0 Paris o\u00f9 son fr\u00e8re l\u2019attendait. De Paris, il s\u2019envole vers Alger. Transform\u00e9, sa famille ne le reconnait pas. Lui aussi s\u2019\u00e9tonne des changements intervenus au pays et au sein de sa famille. \u00ab\u00a0Maman avait le moral\u00a0\u00bb, se r\u00e9jouit-il.<\/h5>\n<h5>Karim Soumati, l\u2019aventurier, a choisi une profession dans laquelle il pourra toujours assouvir sa curiosit\u00e9. Pilote \u00e0 Air Alg\u00e9rie, le tour du monde se poursuit mais d\u2019une autre mani\u00e8re.
