ALGER – Privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e par une famille qui cultive le beau, le raffinement et le savoir-vivre citadin, Faiza Antri Bouzar s’est naturellement orient\u00e9e vers le monde de la cr\u00e9ation styliste, en puisant du s\u00e9culaire patrimoine vestimentaire alg\u00e9rien, subtilement actualis\u00e9 et internationalis\u00e9. Son objectif essentiel \u00e9tant le maintien en usage de cet \u00e9l\u00e9ment identitaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

N\u00e9e d’un p\u00e8re originaire de la ville de Miliana et d’une m\u00e8re issue de la vaillante Casbah d’Alger, Faiza Antri Bouzar est marqu\u00e9e, d\u00e9j\u00e0 enfant, par les influences qu’exerce sur elles son entourage imm\u00e9diat: grand-m\u00e8re maternelle, parents, et tantes, lesquels lui transmettent les codes de la civilit\u00e9 et les caract\u00e9ristiques d’habillement propres \u00e0 ces cit\u00e9s au prodigieux pass\u00e9 historique.<\/p>\n

“A 12 ans, j’ai port\u00e9 le Karakou (gilet alg\u00e9rois d’apparat en velours brod\u00e9) de ma grand-m\u00e8re, l\u00e9gu\u00e9 par son a\u00efeule, \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole pour un spectacle et elle m’avait montr\u00e9, \u00e0 l’occasion, la fa\u00e7on d’ajuster le foulard en soie traditionnel qui va avec +Mhermet Leftoul+”, raconte-t-elle \u00e0 l’APS, \u00e0 propos de son a\u00een\u00e9e, Souhila Bent Boursas, \u00e0 qui elle doit “\u00e9norm\u00e9ment”.<\/p>\n

Tenant \u00e0 lui rendre hommage, elle poursuit : ” Elle m’a transmis un savoir-faire inestimable. Elle est d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9e l’\u00e9t\u00e9 dernier \u00e0 83 ans et jusqu’\u00e0 son dernier jour, elle n’a cess\u00e9 de s’entourer du beau et de l’\u00e9l\u00e9gant comme si elle \u00e9tait une jeune mari\u00e9e !”.<\/p>\n

Ce go\u00fbt h\u00e9rit\u00e9 pour l’esth\u00e9tique sera compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par sa m\u00e8re qui entretenait un autre art, celui de la belle et g\u00e9n\u00e9reuse table ainsi que du maniement habile des ingr\u00e9dients culinaires. Par ailleurs, petite-fille du fondateur de la prestigieuse maison de bijouterie et de joaillerie \u00e9ponyme, Rachid Antri Bouzar, l’univers particulier entourant Faiza ne pouvait que donner naissance \u00e0 une passion pour le raffinement et l’originalit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Et c’est ainsi qu’elle s’est lanc\u00e9e, en 2009, dans l’univers de la haute couture en investissant le cercle restreint et ardu de la mode, d’o\u00f9 seuls les plus talentueux et tenaces se d\u00e9marquent. Se faisant, elle s’est fix\u00e9e comme enjeu ” la pr\u00e9servation de l’\u00e2me” de l’habit s\u00e9culaire alg\u00e9rien, tout en r\u00e9ussissant son adaptation aux \u00e9volutions esth\u00e9tiques et pratiques du pr\u00e9sent.<\/p>\n

“Je suis r\u00e9volt\u00e9e lorsque je vois que \u2018Mharmet Leftoul\u2019 est nou\u00e9e alors qu’elle doit \u00eatre ajust\u00e9e au moyen d\u2019\u00e9pingles en perles ou que \u2018Seroual Chelqa\u2019 (pantalon en fentes accompagnant le Karaco) est trop court ou que les ouvertures sont prononc\u00e9es”, s’indigne-t-elle, \u00e0 ce propos.<\/p>\n

Et d’argumenter : “Les codes vestimentaires impos\u00e9s par la pudeur de notre soci\u00e9t\u00e9 doivent \u00eatre respect\u00e9s. Nous ne devons pas \u00eatre dans la vulgarit\u00e9 mais dans la suggestion subtile, car l’\u00e9l\u00e9gance n’est jamais vulgaire”.<\/p>\n

Elle insiste \u00e9galement sur le respect du vocable originel de nos anc\u00eatres: ” Il y a des termes issus du patrimoine immat\u00e9riel et qui font partie de la biens\u00e9ance des +Hdar” (citadins)”, explicite-t-elle, citant “Snita”, le tissu r\u00eache plac\u00e9 au-dessous de “Mharmet Leftoul” pour que celle-ci, souvent soyeuse, ne glisse pas, ou encore “Kraked”, le drap\u00e9 confectionn\u00e9 des c\u00f4t\u00e9s lat\u00e9raux du foulard.<\/p>\n

A la faveur de l’\u00e9volution de sa carri\u00e8re en interne, durant laquelle elle a revisit\u00e9 le costume alg\u00e9rois, la robe kabyle, la Blousa oranaise, le Caftan tlemcenien, la Gandoura de l’Est, etc., ses cr\u00e9ations ont \u00e9t\u00e9 fi\u00e8rement arbor\u00e9es par des artistes comme Souad Massi et Lila Borsali.<\/p>\n

En 2016, elle se lance \u00e0 l’international afin de “faire conna\u00eetre et partager la richesse de notre patrimoine vestimentaire”. Ce qui l’emmena \u00e0 conqu\u00e9rir le public canadien, puis am\u00e9ricain et d’autres cieux. Son talent a r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 convaincre des actrices de Hollywood et \u00e0 en habiller 7 d’entre elles, dont Mekia Cox: “Il s’agit de s’adapter, de ne pas rester fig\u00e9s et de comprendre les codes internationaux dans ce domaine, tout en gardant notre identit\u00e9 en y int\u00e9grant le param\u00e8tre marketing. Si le couturier libanais Ellie Saab est si connu, c’est parce qu’il a su s’adapter \u00e0 la client\u00e8le \u00e9trang\u00e8re, \u00e0 l’instar de Hally Berry !”, commente-t-elle.<\/p>\n

Cette conviction est d’autant plus justifi\u00e9e chez Faiza que la diversit\u00e9 de ses collections ont suscit\u00e9 “l’\u00e9merveillement \u00e0 l’\u00e9tranger” et que son exp\u00e9rience en dehors de son pays lui a prouv\u00e9 qu’elle \u00e9tait ” capable de relever le d\u00e9fi d\u2019habiller aussi des \u00e9trang\u00e8res, en s\u2019adaptant \u00e0 leurs physionomie et attentes”.<\/p>\n

“Cette exp\u00e9rience a \u00e9t\u00e9 enrichissante pour ma carri\u00e8re, mais je pr\u00e9f\u00e8re la poursuivre en Alg\u00e9rie pour \u00eatre au plus pr\u00e9s de mes enfants”, confesse-t-elle, avant de revenir sur les 10 ans de sa carri\u00e8re f\u00eat\u00e9s en 2019 \u00e0 travers une collection d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 “l\u2019antiquit\u00e9 alg\u00e9rienne, de Juba II \u00e0 S\u00e9l\u00e9n\u00e9”, laquelle r\u00e9sume le doigt\u00e9 et le souci du d\u00e9tail caract\u00e9risant le travail de cette f\u00e9rue du patrimoine alg\u00e9rien.<\/p>\n

Abordant pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment la campagne de “d\u00e9possession” men\u00e9e depuis quelques temps contre des symboles de l’identit\u00e9 alg\u00e9rienne, Faiza Antri Bouzar pr\u00e9conise: “C’est \u00e0 nous d’\u00eatre offensifs en valorisant notre richesse. Le probl\u00e8me est que nous pensons souvent, et \u00e0 tort, que nous ne pouvons pas avancer “, avant de plaider pour qu'”on consomme Alg\u00e9rien, car des milliers de familles vivent de l’artisanat”.<\/p>\n
