ALGER – Le long m\u00e9trage alg\u00e9rien “Argu” (r\u00eave) de son r\u00e9alisateur Omar Belkacemi a \u00e9t\u00e9 projet\u00e9, jeudi soir \u00e0 la salle Ibn Zeydoun (Alger) dans le cadre de la comp\u00e9tition officielle du 11e Festival international du cin\u00e9ma d’Alger (FICA) d\u00e9di\u00e9 au film engag\u00e9.<\/strong><\/p>\n

D’une dur\u00e9e de 97 minutes, le film raconte la vie de “Koukou”, un jeune paysan kabyle, un boh\u00e9mien en marge de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en raison de sa personnalit\u00e9 hors norme, que “Tadjmaat” (les notables du village), l’imam et son propre p\u00e8re tentent d’apprivoiser pour lui mettre des limites et museler sa libert\u00e9.<\/p>\n

R\u00eaveur, m\u00e9lomane et galant avec les femmes de son village, Koukou est rejet\u00e9 par les siens \u00e0 l’exception de son fr\u00e8re “Mahmoud”, amateur de po\u00e9sie et de philosophie qui abomine l’injustice et les coutumes r\u00e9volues.<\/p>\n

Coproduit en 2021 par le Centre alg\u00e9rien de d\u00e9veloppement du cin\u00e9ma (CADC) et l’agence “Visuel”, le film a obtenu\u00a0 plusieurs distinctions dont “le prix de l’universit\u00e9 africaine de la critique cin\u00e9matographique” \u00e0 l’occasion des 32e Journ\u00e9es cin\u00e9matographiques de Carthage (Tunisie).<\/p>\n

N\u00e9 en 1970, Omar Belkacemi a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le cin\u00e9ma en Tunisie puis particip\u00e9 comme assistant r\u00e9alisateur dans nombre de films avant de r\u00e9aliser son premier court-m\u00e9trage “Dihia” (2010), puis “El Moudja” (2015) et son premier long m\u00e9trage “Argu”.<\/p>\n

Le 11e FICA se poursuit jusqu’au 10 d\u00e9cembre, avec 25 films en comp\u00e9tition sur une soixantaine de films de diff\u00e9rents pays, participant \u00e0 cette \u00e9dition qui focalise sur les questions de la r\u00e9sistance de la femme et de l’environnement, ainsi que des focus th\u00e9matiques d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 la m\u00e9moire et \u00e0 l’histoire programm\u00e9s en marge de la projection des films en comp\u00e9tition.<\/p>\n
