The ranking, produced by the same British higher-education magazine that publishes the annual\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/world-university-rankings\/2023\/world-ranking\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THE World University Rankings<\/a>, evaluates the world\u2019s best universities that are 50 years old or younger.<\/p>\n<p>The ministry said 11 Algerian institutions were included in this year\u2019s ranking, up from nine in 2022. Ferhat Abbas Setif 1 University was the highest-ranked Algerian institution, placing 98th at the global level, first in the Maghreb, and second at the African level, the statement said.
